1st activity: The Casela Park is home to many animals of the African continent, including lions, tigers, cheetahs, zebras, giant turtles, monkeys and more than 1,500 species of birds in a 250-hectare park. Sensational activities such as summer sledging, zip lines and nepalese bridges are available while for a mini-farm with goats, ponies, rabbits, which can be fed with vets is on offer for children.
2nd activity: Departure is planned for 9:00 at Grand Bay pier for a cruise of about 1h 30 mins at sea. On the way you will be able to see the island of Coin de Mire (Gunner's Quoin) and you may have the chance to cross paths with dolphins, flying fish or the iconic Longtail birds. Once you arrive at Gabriel islet, a shuttle will take you across the lagoon to Flat island where you can admire the seabed by snorkelling. You will then head back to the catamaran, where lunch will be served, after which you will be able to discover the Gabriel islet. Departing from the islands at around 14:30, you will head back to Grand Bay.
3rd activity: You will head South to discover the small village of Le Morne Brabant, where you will tour the Slave Route Monument, an iconic site of the abolition of slavery. You will then discover Maconde, an impressive hairpin curve with a breathtaking view at the top of a volcanic rock and from where, according to some, you can see the lights of Reunion Island on clear evenings. You will then head to the Rivière de Galets where the waves push the pebbles into a drumroll, before discovering the magnificent views of Gris-Gris and La Roche qui Pleure. Finally, you will spend the afternoon at Vanilla Reptile Park where you can enjoy a lunch of crocodile meat, if you so choose. The park is home to hundreds of turtles ranging from one-month-old babies to mature ones of over 100 years, bats, monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles and much more.
