Ile aux Aigrettes is an island located at 800 meters off the southeast coast of Mauritius. It is a nature reserve being home to the flora and fauna that populated Mauritius before the arrival of man and can now only be found on Ile aux Aigrettes today.
Access to the island is possible only when accompanied by a specialized "ranger" who will make you discover this unique flora and fauna. They will share their knowledge on the restoration of this fragile ecosystem that man had practically destroyed when arriving in Mauritius. The visit of the Island lasts for approximately 1h30 to 2h and is accessible by boat shuttles only.
