The outing is performed with the electro bike at a pleasant pace for an original discovery of Mauritius far from the touristic circuits. The excursion begins in the sugar cane fields to cross the magnificent “Le Mauricia” estate and reach a superb panoramic viewpoint over “Le Pouce” and “Peter Both” mountain ranges and over the northern islands.
You will have a break in Villebague at the first colonial house of Mauritius which used to be Mahé De Labourdonnais’s house. In its yard, you will take time to share a picnic and taste local pineapple from a merchant in the small typical village of Rosalie for dessert.
After skirting the beautiful “Riviere Citron” river, you will share a cup of tea with the locals before visiting the historic districts of the Pamplemousse village as well as the famous botanical garden of the same name.
The day will end with a visit at “L’Aventure du Sucre” Museum where you will learn about the story of Mauritius through the sugar cane.
